Moving, moving, moving... I swear. Why did no one tell me that it would be such a pain to move after we were married? There is so much more STUFF!!! Anyways... we got moved into our new apartment. (I say moved in losely because I don't think it qualifies if all the stuff is still scattered everywhere inside the house... although it was a huge triumph to get it all there... and thankfully, with no rain this time.) Yey!!!
I beat Levi home from work yesterday and decided to get a jump on the whole "making our house a home" endevour. But, as any of you who know me know... I can't do indoor activities without music or the tv going. I hate the silence. (I can just hear all of the mothers out there gasping in horror at my lack of respect for the ever-so-elusive silence.) Since I haven't had t.v. since March I decided to start there.
I just want basic channels... I don't want 185 channels (130 of which are sports channels and I'll never watch). So I got the little antenna that ever-so-easily plugs into the back of the t.v. and "wall-ah!" lets you view those stations right? Wrong. Well here's where the sh*t hit the fan...
Let me discribe for you the scene in which my ever-so-patient husband came into when he got home that evening.
Sam...
... sitting in the middle of the living room floor.
... surrounded by moving boxes.
... and instruction manuals
... with the t.v. on
... in Spanish.
... in tears.
I could get channels. 5 channels actually. But the problem was... I could only get the Spanish channels. Not English... Spanish. So after 4 hours of antennas, and cords, and the menu button on the t.v. you know what we found out? You need a converter box to get the english channels. A simple, can get one for free converter box. How do you say, "Agghhhhh!" in Spanish?

How did you not KNOW you needed a converter box!?? Have you not been SEEING the commercials warning you that you need one for like 6 MONTHS now?
No help with ARGGGG! but I can count to 10:)
I know... and I thought that the tv was good. It says DTV right on it... but apparently that means that it's only capable to accept a DTV signal. (Grrrrrrrr.)
Oh... and Mike... WHAT?
I'm sure that wasn't supposed to be funny, but I totally laughed. You are hilarious.
I have two things to say: sign me up for 130 sports channels, and I'm no help with the Spanish, but I do know how to swear at Levi in Portuguese! :)
