Birthday + Canyons!!!

Birthday catchup. It was Levi's birthday last week. We celebrated in style with some double layer birthday cake, (made by his oh-so-talented wife... hey, I'm writing the post, I can say what I want). I think he had a good birthday, besides the fact that he had to go to work. But we started out the day with a birthday breakfast of bacon and french toast (chosen by the birthday boy himself).

His aforementioned oh-so-talented wife had taken all the many, many (many, many, many) hints that he wanted an iPod touch and had come through. He'll say that he didn't drop hints... but all I've heard for the last 7 months is that he doesn't know what he's going to do when he has to give the iPod touch he got for the semester from Weber back when he graduates. (usually accompanied by a forlorn look at the Weber iPod and a sigh.)

We finished up the birthday celebration later that week with a trip to Canyons ski resort in Park City. We had gotten some free day passes back in October and decided that Levi's birthday would be the perfect time to cash them in. Canyons was awesome! There were so many runs and lifts going in every direction, I couldn't believe it. You would go all the way up one lift, board half way down and hit another ski lift that took you up even further! It took about an hour to make one complete run down the mountain.... so cool! It was the perfect day and we had an absolute ball! Happy Birthday to the best friend/husband a girl could ask for!

Lighting his own candles.

Isn't his wife talented?

Hope his wish came true.

View from the top of Canyons. Such a pretty day.

Levi carving his way down the mountain.l Yes... the runs you can see off in the distance to the right are STILL part of Canyons. The place is HUGE!

Enjoying the heated, orange bubble lift... why has no one thought of this before? No wind, no cold... awesome.

Riding the gondola up to the resort.
Once again... enjoying the heated, orange bubble lift.

Movie of Levi shredding down the mountain... filmed by me... shredding down behind him. :) No I didn't fall... but I came close a couple of times. (Notice the shakiness.)

What a fun birthday and what a good wife you are. :) Your explanation of Levi's hints were hilarious. I remember two of them on a drive to Kanab alone. Ha, ha! At least he gets what he wants, right?
