Here's Your Sign...

Okay... so it's not what you are thinking. I don't mean the "I'm stupid" sign that the comedians Bill Engval and Jeff Foxworthy talk about. I'm talking about the huge, florescent sign that must be on my forehead that is flashing... "Single!!!!" No joke... I feel like everyone and their dog is trying to set me up with someone... and it doesn't seem to matter who it is.

For example: here is a conversation that I had with a lady I work with today.

Her: "Hey Sam... I know this guy, and I think you two should date"

Me: "Why's that?"

Her: "What do you mean?"

Me: "Well, what's he like? Why do you think we would get along so great?"

Her: "Well he's like 6' 6"...."

Me: "And...?"

Her: "Well that's all I really know about him."

Are you freaking kidding me!!! Just because someone is tall means that we are meant to be. What is that? Anyways... some days I find the fact that people are always trying to give me a man quite funny. Other's it just gets on my nerves. Don't get me wrong... I want a man. (What single woman doesn't?) But is it really that terrible that I'm 23 and single?

It's like Eva Mendes says on Hitch... (In the bar talking to her friend) "You're not sick... you're single." Seriously, since when is being single such a horrible thing? I realize that the rest of the state would probably disagree with me, but I still think single, and anywhere in your 20's is NOT considered an old maid!!! (Call me crazy.)

Anyways... sorry that's really not a great post... but I had to blog it off my chest!!!
