Playing Christmas Catch-Up.

Well... Ihave got an aweful lot to blog about so I'm going to make these posts short and sweet, so that I can get them all on here. (Consider this the "Reader's Digest" version.)
Karly and I chilling in the midst of chaos at the annual Hamblin Family Christmas party.
The Hamblin Christmas Eve party was, yet-again, a success this year. It's always a little chaotic with all 18 of us in the same room, but I wouldn't have it any other way. (Larry and Jayci were the big money winners this year... I give a shoutout to them, but I WILL be the winner one of these years!!!)

We woke up on Christmas morning to some more beautiful snow (and a sqealing Cydnee!). It was so much fun to have a white Christmas again.

I was so excited to give my parents their present this year. Let me back up a bit. I have made each of my sisters a quilt for Christmas and this year it was my parents turn. (I still maintain you all only get one so enjoy them!!!) Anyways... I had my parents convinced that I wouldn't be able to finish theirs this year, and they would be getting just the pieced top. So it was so much fun to see their faces when they opened it and saw the completely finished, quilted product.

I love the Christmas surprises that occur EVERY YEAR at my house. I was completely blind-sided this year with a new lap-top computer (cleverly disguised and padded with blankets in a ginormous, "you'll-never-guess-what's-in-here-now" box). Way to go Santa, you must have known I was starting school again and in desperate need!

Karly and I playing Guitar Hero on their family's new Wii. We even got Dad to play a little bowling. (He lost to the reining champion, Katie though. She definetly let him know he was getting worked by a 10 year old GIRL!!! It was hilarious.)

I'm so lucky that all my nieces and nephews live in Kanab. We always go over to see their "loot" on Christmas morning. I have to give out some "awards" here so bear with me:
Heather and Coby's household wins the "Earliest Wake Up Call" award. Their kids had them up at like 4 A.M. (Way to go Jayce!)
Amber & Larry's household wins the "Play it Like You Stole it" award. You just can't go wrong with a Wii.
Angie & Chad's household wins the "Just a Toothbrush will Do" award. Trey found a new toothbrush in his stocking and didn't want anything else. (Who says Christmas is pricey?)
Merry Christmas all and I'm so glad I was able to share it with you!
