Trip to (a snowy) K-town.

We got to go home for the weekend! Home to the beautiful red rocks, blue skies, horses, baby calves, Bagheera, and FAMILY! It was such a needed release for us. The stress level was at an all time high and there is no better way to forget about all of the city/school/apartment/life crap, than to go home!

We did a lot of running around while down in Southern Utah: Richfield to Lesha's state basketball tourney, Tropic for Logan's setting apart, then to Kanab to due some job hunting/externship discussing, as well as a little face-time with the fam.

I've been dying to get back to Kanab to ride out and see this year's new baby calves. I love those little guys...even in the snow. :) They weren't too sure about all the white stuff on the ground, but it was sure fun to watch them play in it.

Last time we were down in K-town was right after all the rain. It was such a flooding/muddy mess. This time it had just dumped a bunch of snow. Every time we've been down this year it has been either raining/snowing like crazy. Dad says that he could really use another storm about the end of April, so we'd better plan a trip to come down again then.
I love the combination of the snow and the red rocks! (The best part about the snow down there is that you can enjoy it because you know it's not going to last very long.)

This little guy (below the mama's head) was only a couple of hours old when we came across him.

I just love the little spot on this fellers head. He was a curious little bugger. :)

They just think they are so tough.

Glad you got to come home. We can't believe how much snow Kanab has gotten this year. They've beat us by a long shot. Anyway, in response to your comment, yes, that is your cousin Alisha. She's the greatest. I've been going to her on and off for like the past 10+ years. Crazy! She's the best!
