For my birthday this year, Levi & I rented a canoe and went up to Causey to camp for the weekend. I had never been in a canoe before and levi had to teach me the ropes. (I didn't even tip us over!) We paddled all over the lake and fished. It was so much fun to get away from the city for my B-day.

We paddled about a mile and a half up the canyon and anchored our canoe to a cliff and just fished off the side. We hit a pretty good little hole and caught about 7 pretty good fishey's in about 2 hours. The funniest thing about our spot though... was when we would catch a fish. (Well, when I would catch a fish anyways.) I would have my line out in the water, and any time another canoe/kayak paddled by I would get a bite. It was the funniest thing. (Levi was ticked.)
It was such a great birthday!
Oh... and I thought I'd show you a picture of what Levi got me for my birthday. In addition to a new DVD player for our TV... he got me tickets to go see the Lion King!!! I'm so excited!!!

What a good husband you have. The Lion King is awesome! The props, stage work, and costumes are amazing. I'm totally jealous about the camping. I have had a camping hankering all summer.
